On behalf of all members of ALGWA Tasmania, we congratulate Mayor Paula Wriedt on her new appointment as CEO of TasCOSS, the Tasmanian Association of Social Service.
We also acknowledge her dedication to advancing the role of women in local government in Tasmania, her unwavering support for the Lift the Tone campaign, and her commitment in serving as Secretary of ALGWA Tas as well on the LGAT and ALGA executives for several years.
Paula’s deep knowledge of the local government sector and her genuine advocacy for women in leadership have made an outstanding contribution to the growth and strength of our organisation.
Her wise counsel on many occasions, and her steady, thoughtful leadership, have been invaluable.
While we will miss her involvement in ALGWA Tas, we are confident that her skills, passion, and integrity will continue to make a significant impact in her new role.
