Committee elected

ALGWA Tasmania members have elected our new committee for 2026.

At the Annual General Meeting on 14 November 2025, Flinders Island Mayor, Rachel Summers, was elected to follow on from Kingborough Mayor Paula Wriedt as the association secretary and public officer. Waratah-Wynyard Mayor Dr Mary Duniam (president), Sorell Councillor Melinda Reed FGIA CPRA (vice president) and Central Coast Mayor Cheryl Fuller (treasurer) were all re-elected unopposed.

Mayor Dr Mary Duniam and Councillor Melinda Reed continue as Tasmania’s delegates to the national board of the Australian Local Government Women’s Association.
